Android Articles and Documents

Overview

Articles are partner-published stories, guides, updates, and educational content. Documents are files attached to places or organizations, such as maps, rules, forms, or other downloadable resources.

Articles and documents are managed by the publishing organization. Availability, titles, images, file names, and links can change when that organization updates its content.

Find Articles

Open your community home screen and look for the Articles section. Swipe the carousel to browse articles, or tap View All to open the full Articles list for the current community.

Articles can also appear on place pages, organization pages, search results, and related-content sections.

If you do not see an article you expected, make sure you are viewing the correct community.

Read an Article

Tap an article card to open the article. An article can include:

  • A header image.
  • The article title.
  • The publishing organization.
  • Article body text, images, and links.
  • Related places or other related content.

Tap the organization name or logo when it is available to open the organization page. Tap a related item to continue exploring.

Share or Report Article Issues

Use the share button when it is available to send an article link.

Use the options menu when it is available to report an error or suggest an edit. Include enough detail for Visitor Success and the publishing organization to understand what looks wrong.

Find Documents

Documents can appear on place pages and organization pages. Look for a Documents section in the page information area.

When a page has several documents, tap View All to open the full document list. Use Search Documents to filter the list, and use View by to change the sort order.

Open Documents

Tap a document row to open the file. Some documents open in the app, and others may open in a browser or another Android viewer depending on the file type and your device.

Some documents require an internet connection to open.

Troubleshooting

If articles or documents do not load:

  1. Confirm you are viewing the correct community, place, or organization.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Pull down to refresh where available.
  4. Reopen the article, document, or page.
  5. Update OuterSpatial from Google Play.

If a document link is broken or article content looks incorrect, contact Visitor Success at visitors@outerspatial.com and include the article or document title, the organization, and the page where you found it.
