App Settings and Support

Overview

Use Settings in the OuterSpatial mobile app to manage your profile, notification preferences, app options, help links, and support tools.

Open Settings

1. Open the OuterSpatial app.
2. Go to the Me tab.
3. Tap the settings icon.

Some settings require you to be logged in. If you are not logged in, Settings still includes app information, support links, and login options.

Settings is organized into sections: Account, Preferences, What's New, Help & Feedback, Get Involved, and About.

Account

When you are logged in, the Account section includes your profile and notification options.

Open Profile Information to update your profile photo, name, and preferences. Your email address is shown on this screen. If you need to change your email address, tap the email help icon next to the email field. OuterSpatial opens a help article with the current steps for changing the email address on your account.

Tap Notifications to manage the messages OuterSpatial can send. You can turn full notification channels on or off, then adjust individual notification types inside a channel when they are available.

Organization and location subscription notifications are tied to the places and organizations you save or subscribe to. Use those saved places and subscriptions together with your notification settings to control what you receive.

Preferences

Tap Location to manage location access, Adventure Mode, location-based alerts, anonymous Mapbox usage data, and Customer.io personalized location updates. Location Settings also explains OuterSpatial's first-party location analytics.

Tap Social & Challenges to manage post and challenge preferences.

Turn on Wi-Fi Only Uploads if you want social activity and challenge responses to wait for Wi-Fi instead of using cellular data. Turn it off to allow pending uploads over any available connection.

When you are logged in, Social & Challenges also includes Muted Accounts. Open it to review accounts you muted and unmute them when needed.

Tap System Settings to open the OuterSpatial section of your device's system settings, where you can manage permissions and other options the system controls.

What's New

The What's New section includes Changelog, which opens the web changelog, and Release Highlights, which opens an in-app archive of release details.

Help & Feedback

• Support & Feedback opens the OuterSpatial Help Center.
• Ideas & Feature Requests opens a preaddressed feedback email on iOS and the feature-request page on Android.
• Roadmap opens OuterSpatial's public product roadmap.

Get Involved

• The rate link for your app store lets you leave a review.
• OuterSpatial Shop opens the online shop.
• When you are logged in, Beta Testing lists early-access features you can try.

About

• Credits opens app acknowledgments.
• Privacy Policy and Terms of Service open their related pages.

When you report an error or suggest an edit from supported content screens, OuterSpatial prepares an email with app, device, user, and content details. Leave the generated details in the message so support can identify what you are reporting.
