iOS Articles and Documents

Overview

Articles are partner-published stories, guides, updates, and educational content. Documents are files attached to places or organizations, such as maps, rules, forms, or other downloadable resources.

Articles and documents are managed by the publishing organization. Availability, titles, images, file names, and links can change when that organization updates its content.

Find Articles

Open the Home tab and look for the Articles section. Swipe the article carousel to browse featured articles, or tap View All to open the full Articles list for the current community.

Articles can also appear on place pages, organization pages, search results, and Bulletin Board cards. If an article is related to a place or organization, open that page and look in the Things To Do, Info, or related-content areas.

If you do not see an article you expected, make sure you are viewing the correct community.

Read an Article

Tap an article card to open the article. An article can include:

  1. A header image.
  2. The article title.
  3. A published date.
  4. The organization that provided the information.
  5. Rich text, images, and links.
  6. Related places or other related content.

Tap the organization name or logo when it is available to open the organization page. Tap a related place or item to continue exploring.

Refresh, Share, and Report Article Issues

Pull to refresh the Articles list or an article detail page when you want to check for updated content.

Use the Share button when it is available to send an article link. Use the More or Options button when it is available to report an error or suggest an edit.

Find Documents

Documents can appear on place pages and organization pages. Look for a Documents section in the page information area.

Some document sections show all available files directly. Others may show View All, search, or sort controls when there are multiple documents.

Open, Save, or Print Documents

Tap a document row to open the file. PDF documents open in a document viewer. Other links may open in a web viewer or your browser.

When Save or Print is available in the document viewer, use those actions to keep a copy or print the file. Some documents require an internet connection to open.

Troubleshooting

If articles or documents do not load:

  1. Confirm you are viewing the correct community, place, or organization.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. Pull to refresh where available.
  4. Reopen the article, document, or page.
  5. Update OuterSpatial from the App Store or Google Play.

If a document link is broken, a PDF will not open, or article content looks incorrect, contact Visitor Success at visitors@outerspatial.com and include the article or document title, the organization, and the page where you found it.
