Language Support & Translations

OuterSpatial is designed to make outdoor experiences more accessible. To support more visitors, we provide Spanish translations across much of the app and website. This article explains what’s translated today, how translations work, and what to expect when viewing content in Spanish.

Supported Languages

OuterSpatial currently supports:

  • English

  • Spanish (Español)

What’s Translated Automatically

App & Website Interface

Most of the OuterSpatial interface is fully translated into Spanish, including:

  • Buttons and labels

  • Navigation and menus

  • Settings and prompts

  • System messages and alerts

These translations are reviewed and updated regularly to ensure consistency and clarity.

Content Translations

Automatically Translated Content (Website)

On the OuterSpatial website, some content is translated automatically when you view the site in Spanish, including:

  • Descriptions of areas

These translations are generated automatically to help visitors understand content even when it’s only been written in English.

When content is auto-translated, you may see a subtle indicator that the text was translated automatically.

Content in the Mobile Apps

In the iOS and Android apps, interface text is translated, but long-form content (like descriptions or posts) may still appear in English if a Spanish version hasn’t been provided yet.

Translation Quality & Accuracy

We work hard to ensure translations are clear and respectful of context, but keep in mind:

  • Some translations are generated automatically

  • Nuances, idioms, or regional phrasing may vary

  • Official names, brand names, and URLs are intentionally not translated

If something doesn’t look quite right, we’d love to hear about it.

Why Some Content May Still Appear in English

You may see English text if:

  • The content hasn’t been translated yet

  • The content is user-generated or highly specific

  • The content includes names, links, or technical terms that shouldn’t be translated

We’re continuing to expand and improve translation coverage over time.

Changing Your Language

Website

On the website, OuterSpatial will automatically detect your browser’s preferred language.

You can also switch languages manually at any time:

  • Use the language selector in the sitewide footer

  • If you’re logged in, you can also change your language from Settings

Your selection will override automatic detection.

Mobile Apps

In the iOS and Android apps, language follows your device’s system language settings.

To switch languages, update your device language and reopen the app.

What’s Coming Next

We’re actively working to:

  • Expand translation coverage

  • Improve translation quality

  • Support additional languages in the future

Your feedback helps guide what we prioritize next.

Share Feedback

If you notice:

  • A translation that seems incorrect

  • Content that’s hard to understand

  • Something that should be translated but isn’t

Please contact us through the app or our help center. We appreciate your help making OuterSpatial better for everyone!
