Understanding Location Hours and Fees

Updated by OuterSpatial

Open a place and tap Info to find Hours and Fees, where the publishing organization provides them. On Android, they appear under Visitor Information; tap a section to expand it. A section appears only when the organization has recorded that information. Read the conditions beside each entry rather than relying on a single opening status or price.

Read Hours in the Location’s Time Zone

Hours can include weekly schedules, seasonal dates, dated exceptions, overnight periods, and sunrise or sunset rules. The displayed time zone belongs to the location.

  • A dated exception can change the usual schedule for that date.
  • Next Day means an opening period continues after midnight.
  • Open 24 Hours on iOS, or Open All Day on Android, is an explicit schedule state. Missing hours do not mean a location is open all day.
  • Sunrise and sunset rules may use a reference location named by the organization. They do not necessarily use your position or the middle of the park.
  • Separate schedules can apply to different activities or parts of a location, such as commuter access and recreational visits.

Read notes and official source links when a rule is unusual or unclear. A current status, such as Open Now, appears only when the app has checked it recently while online. Otherwise, the status may be unknown or not shown, and you should read the schedule itself.

Check Alerts and Closures

A full closure takes precedence over regular opening hours. A partial closure applies to its stated location or section; read its scope before deciding where you can go.

Scheduled hours do not establish live conditions. A location can have regular opening hours and still be affected by weather, maintenance, or another alert. Reservation availability is separate from operating hours.

Hours on a parent park do not automatically apply to every trail, facility, or outing within it. Check the place you intend to visit.

Understand the Fee and Its Conditions

An entry may describe a fixed amount, a supplied range, a stated starting amount, an explicitly free activity, or an unrecorded fee. Read its charging unit, applicability, effective dates, and notes.

For example, a vehicle entry fee can apply only to visitors arriving by car, while walking or cycling is explicitly free. A program can have a separate charge. These entries are not combined into a calculated total.

Free is an explicit statement for the stated activity or group. Fee Not Recorded on iOS, or Amount Not Recorded on Android, means the amount is unknown; it does not mean there is no charge. Currency and conditions remain part of each fee.

Parent-location fees do not automatically apply to every child location. Contact the publishing organization if you cannot tell which charge applies to your visit.

Open Purchase Options

When a fee links to a product, tap View Pass, View Ticket, or View Reservation on iOS, or View Related Product on Android, to open that product’s detail page. Review the product’s own requirements and current price before purchasing.

A linked pass, ticket, or reservation does not confirm eligibility, admission, or that it covers the informational fee. Checkout prices and availability may differ from published informational fees.

Use Offline Information Carefully

A line above the location's information shows when it was checked. If a refresh fails, the line says so and shows when the saved information was checked; on Android, tap Try Again to retry. Saved hours and fees can remain useful offline, but saved hours do not confirm a current opening status or a live closure check.

If hours or fees do not appear, they may not be recorded, or they may not be saved on your device. Connect to refresh when possible, and use the organization’s official information when conditions or charges are unclear.
