Find and Follow Challenges
Overview
Public challenge pages help you discover activities hosted by OuterSpatial organization partners. On the web, you can review challenge details, requirements, rules, FAQs, task locations, photos, and social activity.
To join, continue, or submit challenge activity, open the challenge in OuterSpatial Mobile.
Find Challenges
Open Challenges to browse public challenges. Community and organization pages can also include challenge sections when those partners have published challenges.
Challenge lists may include Open & Upcoming, Open, Upcoming, and Expired filters depending on the page.
Review a Challenge Page
Open a challenge to review its details. A challenge page can show:
- The host organization.
- The challenge type, such as Photo Challenge, Multi-Task Challenge, Check-In Challenge, QR Code Challenge, or Survey Challenge.
- Status and timing, such as Open, Upcoming, Expired, Starts Today, Ends Today, or Days Left.
- Requirements, such as location access, email sharing, task completion, or photo submissions.
- Participant and response counts.
- Prizes, rules, and frequently asked questions when available.
If the challenge has a start date and is upcoming, choose Add to Calendar to download a calendar file.
Participate in a Challenge
Choose Participate, Join Challenge, Continue Challenge, Submit a Photo, Start a Questionnaire, or a similar challenge action to open the challenge in OuterSpatial Mobile.
The web page shares a mobile deep link because challenge enrollment and submissions happen in the mobile app. If you already joined a challenge, the web page may show Participating.
View Tasks and Locations
For task-based challenges, open Tasks to review the challenge tasks. Task cards can show the task type, title, description, or related location.
Some challenges span more than one community. When you are viewing a challenge inside a specific community, tasks from other communities may appear dimmed with a note that they are available in other communities.
For photo challenges, open Locations to review where photos can be submitted. Use Search locations or categories... when available, then choose Show on Map to view matching locations on the map.
View Photos and Results
For photo challenges, open Photos to see public submissions. You can sort by Most Recent or Most Popular. When a challenge has categories, use the category filter to narrow the gallery.
For expired challenges, choose View Results to open the challenge results area. Photo challenge results open the Photos tab, while other challenge results open Social.
Read Rules and FAQs
If a challenge includes rules, choose Open Rules. If it includes FAQs, choose Open FAQs. Review these sections before participating because they can include eligibility, submission, prize, and safety details from the host organization.
Share a Challenge
Choose Share to copy or send the challenge link. Recipients can review the challenge page on the web and open it in Mobile to participate.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot participate or submit from the web:
- Open the challenge in OuterSpatial Mobile.
- Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to use for the challenge.
- Check whether the challenge is Open, Upcoming, or Expired.
- Review the challenge requirements, rules, and FAQs.
- Update OuterSpatial from the App Store or Google Play.
If challenge content looks incomplete, check that you are viewing the correct community or organization page, then refresh the page.
