Explore Communities and Organizations
Overview
OuterSpatial web pages help visitors find communities, organizations, and outdoor places before opening the mobile app. Use Communities and Organizations to browse public partners. Use Explore to view areas, trails, points of interest, and outings on a map.
Browse Communities
Open Communities to browse public OuterSpatial communities. A community groups outdoor places, partner organizations, and related content around a shared location or theme.
Open a community to view its public page. Community pages can include partner organizations, locations, challenges, events, articles, and social content when that content has been published.
Explore a Community
Select Explore This Community to open a map scoped to that community. The community Explore page uses the community boundary or extent, so the map and list focus on places connected to that community.
Browse Organizations
Open Organizations to browse public OuterSpatial organizations. When location access is available, the page can highlight Organizations Near You.
Open an organization to view its public page. Organization pages can include locations, challenges, events, articles, social content, and available products when those items have been published.
Explore an Organization
Open an organization's Explore page to view a map scoped to that organization. Select a place on the map or in the list to highlight the same place in both views. Select View Details when you are ready to open the location page.
Use Explore
Open Explore to view public OuterSpatial places on a map with a list view. The result count covers the current map area, while the list loads a sorted set of cards as you browse. Select a map feature to reveal its matching card. Select a card to highlight the feature on the map, then select View Details to open the location page.
Explore supports areas, trails, points of interest, and outings. Some Explore links can also preselect a category, location, or feature. At broad zoom levels, zoom in to load a useful set of location cards.
Troubleshooting
If you do not see the community, organization, or location you expected, check that the link is spelled correctly and that the page is public. Some content appears only after an organization publishes it, and some actions may be available only in the OuterSpatial mobile app.
