Articles
Overview
Use Articles in Manager to publish interpretive content, trip ideas, safety tips, wildlife information, stewardship updates, and other written content for visitors.
Articles can appear on your organization page and can also appear with related areas, trails, outings, and Points of Interest.
Open Articles
Open Content & Media > Articles from the sidebar.
The Articles table shows each article name, created date, and visibility. Select an article name to edit it.
Create an Article
- Select New Article.
- Enter a clear article name.
- Add an optional banner image.
- Add the article description.
- Add related places when the article should appear with specific locations.
- Select Save.
After saving, Manager creates the article. Review the article from the table before publishing it.
Write the Article Body
Article bodies can use the current block editor or the legacy rich-text editor, depending on the article and account configuration.
When the block editor is available, pasted formatting is normalized into OuterSpatial blocks. Unsupported styles are removed before save. Keep formatting simple so the article reads well across Web and Mobile.
Legacy articles may show a conversion prompt. Convert the article to the block editor only when you are ready to review the converted content before saving.
Add Related Places
Use the Related panel to attach the article to places such as areas, trails, outings, and Points of Interest.
Related places help visitors find the article from location pages. For example, an article about spring wildflowers can be attached to the areas and trails where visitors can see those flowers.
Edit an Article
Open an article from the table to update its name, banner image, body, or related places.
Select Save when you are finished. If the article is already published, saved changes can update what visitors see.
Manage Visibility
Articles can be Draft, Published, or Archived.
- Draft articles are not public.
- Published articles are visible to visitors.
- Archived articles are removed from public browsing without deleting the article record.
Use the row menu or the article detail page to publish or archive an article. Confirm the action when prompted.
Delete an Article
Use Delete only when the article should be permanently removed. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
If you only need to remove an article from visitors, archive it instead of deleting it.
