Account and Notification Settings

If You Cannot Log In

Try the method you used to create your account, such as Google, Apple, or an email code. Your badges and progress belong to that account.

If OuterSpatial says your sign-in is not connected to an account yet, the page names the method you just used and asks whether you already have an OuterSpatial account.

• If you see Confirm Your Sign-In, select Confirm Sign-In and confirm the sign-in you just used. After confirmation, select Sign In to Existing Account and choose the account you used before. This can use the same provider, such as a different Google account. After you confirm both accounts, the sign-ins are connected to your existing OuterSpatial account, and your badges and progress stay with it.
• If you have never created an OuterSpatial account and Create Account is available, select it. A new account does not include badges or progress from another account.

If confirmation fails on Confirm Your Sign-In, confirm the same account you just used. You can also select Cancel Sign-In and start again.

If you choose the same account again, or an account that has never used OuterSpatial, the page explains what happened and lets you try again. Create Account is available only when permitted, and creates an account for your original sign-in. Select Cancel Sign-In when available to return to the app. If your session has expired, return to the app or website and start sign-in again. If another sign-in is already open, return to that attempt.

If you cannot finish, contact visitors@outerspatial.com. Include the sign-in methods you tried. Do not send a password or verification code.

Overview

Use Settings on the OuterSpatial website to update your profile, manage notification preferences, choose how location is used, set your language, or delete your account. You need to be signed in to use Settings.

Profile Information

Use Profile Information to update the name and photo shown on your OuterSpatial profile.

You can update your profile photo, First Name, and Last Name, then select Save. Your email address is shown on the page. Select Change Email to enter a new email address. After the change request succeeds, sign out and sign back in with the updated email address.

Notification Settings

Use Notification Settings to choose which messages OuterSpatial can send and where they can be sent. Each notification type can have separate Email and Push settings.

Notification types include Tips & Tricks, Product Updates, Community Engagement, Alerts, Check-Ins, Posts, Reviews, and Reports. Select Save after changing your preferences, or select Discard to undo unsaved changes.

Unsubscribe From Marketing

Use Unsubscribe from Marketing if you only want to stop marketing emails, such as Tips & Tricks and Product Updates. If you later want those messages again, select Re-subscribe.

Turn Off All Notifications

Use Turn Off All to unsubscribe from every notification type in one step. OuterSpatial asks you to confirm before saving this change.

Email Unsubscribe Links

OuterSpatial emails can include a link to manage notification settings without opening the full account settings area. If the link is valid, the page shows the same notification controls for the email address connected to that message.

If the link is expired, invalid, or missing required information, the page shows Unable to Load Your Notification Settings. Contact OuterSpatial support if you need help updating preferences for that email address.

Location Settings

Use Location Settings to review the location OuterSpatial is using for nearby content. The page can show the location source, city, accuracy, and coordinates when that information is available.

Select Update Now to request a fresh location. Turn on Always use precise location if you want OuterSpatial to use device GPS when available. Select Clear Preference to remove that saved location preference.

Language and Units

Use Language and Units to choose how the website displays supported text. You can use your device language, English, or Spanish.

Choose Automatic, Imperial, or Metric under Units. Automatic follows your browser's region. Changing the website language does not change your units. Imperial uses miles and feet; Metric uses kilometres and metres. Area measurements follow the same choice.

You can also change Units at the bottom of the website without signing in. Your choice is saved on this device and synced to your account when you sign in. If you have not made a local choice, signing in loads your account's saved preference. Changes made offline are saved locally and sync when you reconnect. If a change cannot sync, select Retry Sync to try again.

Delete Account

Use Delete Account only when you want to permanently remove your OuterSpatial account. The page shows how you are signed in and the email address of the account. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, the address ends in privaterelay.appleid.com. If it is not the account you expected, select Sign Out and Try Another Method before you go further.

1. Select Delete Account.
2. Type your email address exactly as shown.
3. Select Schedule Deletion.

Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days later. Until then, you can keep using OuterSpatial, but your profile, posts, and comments are hidden from other people. Settings shows the date your account will be deleted, and we email you a reminder about a week before.

To keep your account, select Cancel Deletion in Settings. When you sign in during those 30 days, OuterSpatial asks whether you want to keep your account or keep the deletion scheduled.

After the 30 days, your profile, posts, comments, likes, challenge progress, badges, saved places, subscriptions, and sign-in are permanently deleted and can't be recovered. We keep only a minimal record that the account was deleted, without your name, email address, posts, or other personal content.

If we can't finish deleting your account, Settings says the deletion needs attention and our team reviews it. You can contact support or select Cancel Deletion to keep your account.

Delete Your Account Now

To skip the 30 days, select Delete Account, type your email address, then select Delete Immediately. You'll be asked to sign in again to confirm it's you. Sign in to the same account. After you sign in, your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This can't be undone.
