Documents

Overview

Use Documents in Manager to upload files such as brochures, rules, guides, maps, permits, and other visitor resources. Documents can be attached to locations so visitors can open them from related OuterSpatial place pages.

Supported document files include PDF, JPEG, and PNG.

Open Documents

Open Content & Media > Documents from the sidebar.

The Documents page shows your organization's uploaded documents in a paginated table.

Upload a Document

  1. Select New Document.
  2. Drag a supported file into the upload area or choose a file from your computer.
  3. Wait for the upload to finish.

Manager adds the uploaded file to your organization's document library.

Edit Document Details

Select a document name to open Document Details.

From Document Details, you can update:

  • Name.
  • Description.
  • Related locations.

Select Save after changing the name or description.

Attach Documents to Locations

Use the Related field in Document Details to attach a document to published location content. Related locations can include areas, trails, outings, and Points of Interest.

Visitors can see attached documents on supported location pages. Use clear document names and descriptions so visitors understand what each file contains before opening it.

Download a Document

Use the row menu on the Documents table and select Download. You can also use the download button from Document Details when the uploaded file is available.

Delete a Document

Use the row menu or Document Details to delete a document. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Deleting a document removes it from Manager and from any related location attachments. This action cannot be undone.
